Festival Republic have launched a brand new event.
ReBalance Celebrates International Women’s Day invites those wanting a career in music to meet women in the industry, make connections and attend educational talks.
Held at Islington's Union Chapel on Sunday 8th March, it will be followed by a special performance by Nilüfer Yanya, who will appear alongside ReBalance acts Martha Hill and Tamzene.
ReBalance began as a 3-year programme that launched in 2017, which has now expanded into an additional 3 years into 2023, offering 5 day’s studio time to a core female identified band or artist each month in 2018, 2019, and 2020, as well as a slot at a Festival Republic or Live Nation Festival. So far, there has been 300 nominations across 6 rounds, resulting in 19 finalists, and have seen live performances at The Great Escape, Wireless, Latitude, and Reading & Leeds Festivals.
