Bohemian FC have partnered with Fontaines D.C. to release their 2025 third jersey, with profits going to Medical Aid for Palestinians.
The collaboration between Ireland's oldest fan-owned football club and the Dublin-formed band sees guitarist Carlos O'Connell design the shirt alongside Bohemian FC's design team. The jersey pays homage to Fontaines D.C.'s album 'ROMANCE', featuring the album's colour scheme and including the quote "I thought it was love" around the neck. An embroidered hem tag displays a Palestinian flag with the words 'Saoirse don Phalaistín' (Free Palestine).
"There's few institutions in this world who stand strong and unyielding against oppression. Bohemian F.C. is one of them and being a small part of this club has been an honour for us in FDC for a few years now. We will always stand with them and their values," says O'Connell.
Daniel Lambert, Bohemian FC's COO, adds: "We are delighted to unveil this jersey following lots of work over the past few months with Fontaines, in particular Carlos as main designer and Trevor Dietz (manager). The rise of the band, since their days rehearsing in a garage in Phibsboro and early photoshoots in Dalymount has been spectacular, 'Romance' is an album that sits alongside the very best Irish albums of all-time. Even more impressive is to see them continuously highlight and speak about Palestine to bigger and bigger crowds and be unrelenting in their moral convictions."
The jersey will be available at Dalymount Park on 6th and 7th December from 4-6pm, alongside exclusive items including limited edition Fontaines D.C. scarves. Profits will support Medical Aid for Palestinians' emergency response action.
