Hayley Kiyoko to direct and co-write film adaptation of 'Girls Like Girls'
Kiyoko will direct and co-write a film adaptation of her song-turned-novel 'Girls Like Girls' with Focus Features.

Hayley Kiyoko has announced she will direct and co-write her first feature film 'Girls Like Girls' with Focus Features.
The film, which shares its name with both Kiyoko's 2015 single and 2023 novel, will be produced by 'Wicked' producer Marc Platt. The script has been co-written by Kiyoko alongside Stefanie Scott, who previously starred in the original song's music video.
Speaking about the novel, Kiyoko describes it as "a love letter to anyone who doesn't believe they are worthy of being loved back or that they can have a happy ending."
