Lola Young, Fontaines D.C. and Orla Gartland are among the nominees for The Ivors 2025
The Ivors Academy announces 74 nominees across eight categories for its 70th awards ceremony, with Lola Young leading the nominations.

The Ivors Academy have announced their 2025 award nominations, recognising 74 individual composers and songwriters across eight categories including Best Album, Best Contemporary Song and Best Song Musically and Lyrically.
First-time nominee Lola Young leads with three nominations, while RAYE, Dua Lipa, Laura Marling, Orla Gartland, and Fontaines DC are among the other artists recognised. The Best Album category features nominations for Charli XCX, Ghetts, Jordan Rakei, Lola Young, and BERWYN, while Pa Salieu, Bashy, and JADE have received nods in the Best Contemporary Song category.
The ceremony, marking its 70th year, will take place at Grosvenor House in London on 22nd May, where U2 will be inducted into the Academy Fellowship.
The Best Song Musically and Lyrically category sees nominations for Laura Marling's 'Child of Mine', RAYE's 'Genesis', Fontaines DC's 'In the Modern World', Lola Young's 'Messy', and Orla Gartland's 'Mine'.
In the PRS for Music Most Performed Work category, nominations include Harry Styles' 'As It Was', Dua Lipa's 'Houdini', WHAM!'s 'Last Christmas', Cassö, RAYE and D-Block Europe's 'Prada', and Myles Smith's 'Stargazing'. The Rising Star Award with Amazon Music nominees are Bea and her Business, Liang Lawrence, Lola Young, LULU, and Nia Smith.
The academy have also announced nominations across Best Original Film Score, Best Original Video Game Score, and Best Television Soundtrack categories, featuring composers including Daniel Pemberton, Mica Levi, and Oliver Coates.
