Jack Garratt has released his new self-love anthem ‘Ready! Steady! Go!’

Jack Garratt’s new self-produced single explores self-love themes with groove-driven sound, ahead of his third album ‘Pillars’ on Cooking Vinyl.

Artists: Jack Garratt

Jack Garratt has shared new single ‘Ready! Steady! Go!’ from his upcoming third album ‘Pillars’, set for release via Cooking Vinyl on 15th August.

The new track explores themes of self-love, and follows previous single ‘Catherine Wheel’ from the forthcoming record.

“Ready! Steady! Go! Is a song about the frustration of not being able to fully lean into a good thing,” Garratt explains. “It’s the moment before you let a dog off the lead, their nose already in the air, their mouth drooling. They look at you, not understanding why you won’t just let them off the lead. My lack of self-love has often meant I’ve been waiting for someone else to let me love. This is unfair on everyone. Really, I’m allowed to let myself go.”

The self-produced and self-mixed album was recorded in Garratt’s North London studio, featuring a collaboration with producer Johan Hugo. The release follows Garratt’s 2020 album ‘Love, Death & Dancing’.
