Jamie xx has had prolific few years: from albums under both his own name and that of his band (The xx), to soundtracks and various art projects.
He released his solo album ‘
In Colour’ last year, and of late he’s been concentrating on the score for a ballet based on Jonathan Safran Foer's Tree of Codes.
The xx are also working on their third album; the follow up to 2009’s self-titled debut, and 2012’s ‘Coexist’.
Now, he says, he’s thinking about slowing down. "I've never made so much music in my life as I am now," he tells Pitchfork. "It's good, but I can't keep going like this."
Take a holiday, mate.
