Kiwi newcomer Lévyne runs with the dogs in her ‘Losing Sleep’ video

It’s the first half of a double release with B-side ‘I Don’t Think It’s Me’.

Kiwi newcomer Lévyne has shared her new ‘Losing Sleep’ video.

They say not to work with kids or animals but clearly nobody told Lévyne – both star in the video for ‘Losing Sleep’, the latest single from the New Zealand electro-popster. Check it out below.

“It was so hard working with dogs!”, she recalls of the shoot. “Lovely with all the cuddles but definitely a struggle”. The video was a collaboration with Auckland videographer Oscar Keys, who also directed the clip for her 2020 release ‘Misconceptions’.

A serene affair with a chorus that has no business being quite so catchy, ‘Losing Sleep’ signposts the final stage of a healing process, acknowledging personal growth and accepting that you can’t control the other side of the story. “It’s about feeling left behind when your growth doesn’t mirror other people’s around you”.

It’s the first half of a double release with B-side ‘I Don’t Think It’s Me’, set to follow next month.
