UK artist Luvcat announces Halloween release of debut album 'Vicious Delicious' and shares title track with self-co-directed music video.
Luvcat has announced her debut album 'Vicious Delicious', set for release on 31st October via AWAL. The UK artist has also shared the title track alongside a new music video which she co-directed.
Written between Paris and various studio sessions, 'Vicious Delicious' combines elements of jazz, punk, and gothic influences.
"Making this album happened accidentally. Amongst the madness of the last year I decided I didn't wanna fuck around with EPs or mixtapes. I really wanted to make my first proper statement and when I found out Halloween fell on a Friday, I knew we had to be fast to get it together," Luvcat says.
"Its lipsticks a little smudged and its stockings are a little torn, but I am so proud of how we've captured this strange, magical story and all the lovers and libertines I've met along the way. I think the record is old school romance slightly off its hinges. A swinging pendulum between love and addiction, ecstasy and melancholy, eroticism and innocence, the deliciously vicious and the viciously delicious."
Speaking about the title track, she adds: "Vicious Delicious is a song about a terrible man who tasted like heaven. He was moreish, magnetic, devilishly handsome and danced like Fred Astaire. A true hedonist with a black eye to match. I was thinking a lot about Sid & Nancy at the time.. dangerous, intoxicating love. WARNING: do not fall for a man in band."
