Mahalia has dropped a dance-inspired new single, 'Instructions'
British singer Mahalia releases upbeat new single 'Instructions' with party-themed video, exploring themes of romance and nightlife empowerment.

Mahalia has shared new single 'Instructions', alongside an accompanying music video.
The track follows recent release 'Different Type Of Love' featuring Masicka, and sees the artist exploring themes of romance and nightlife.
"I've been dancing a lot recently - just honestly enjoying the romance of a really GREAT night out. Instructions is everything I feel on those evenings put into song. I always wanted to make a record that told people exactly what to do and this I finally have it! I hope everyone loves it as much as I do," Mahalia explains.
Speaking about her current creative direction, she adds: "It feels like the era of girls just taking back a bit of our fucking control, you know, not being slut-shamed, not being taken the piss out of, not being told that we can't do. It's not that I'm talking about all those issues in the music, but that's where I was at when I was creating it. And it's funny because in all the songs, really and truly, it's me telling these men what to do in a sense."
The video, directed by Douglas Reddan, features party scenes with bold colours and varied camera angles.
