Olivia Dean has released a new video for her track ‘Dive’.
Shot in and around Hastings by director Candice Lo, it’s a cut from her upcoming debut album ‘Messy’, set for release on 30th June.
“I wanted this video to feel simple and free,” Olivia explains. “Sometimes the city can be quite claustrophobic and I just want to run away to the beach. The contrast between the two scenes I think is symbolic of the rush of falling in love. You just wanna let go and run in. We shot it on a windy, cold, rainy day in Hastings. Initially I was gonna swim but it felt a bit much haha. Loved Hastings and Momo who owned the cafe we shot in. His food was delicious, the best Moroccan food ever! I kind of loved that it was a rainy day ‘cos that’s the reality of English weather.”
