Rachel K Collier has shared her attitude-packed new single ‘Paper Tiger’ – check it out below, first on Dork.
“’Paper Tiger’ is a song about all those ego maniacs who are definitely not who they think are – ‘I see a Paper Tiger, no real fight no fire…’,” says Rachel.
“Lyrically, it paints a picture of an emotional experience I dealt with, which I have also tried to reinforce with the intensity of the instrumental.
“I spent some serious production hours in the studio experimenting with the structure and sound design and, as Paper Tiger is a Chinese idiom (紙老虎), I have made some oriental musical references by playing with my sampled vocals.”
‘Paper Tiger’ follows on from her debut self-produced EP ‘Words You Never Heard’ released in Autumn 2015, and follow up single ‘Ships’. It’s out on 17th March via NIF Records/Kobalt.
