Glasgow post-punks San Jose have shared their unconventional love song 'I've Got You'

Glasgow's six-piece band San Jose return with a theatrical six-minute post-punk single blending orchestral elements and intense instrumentation.

San Jose have released their new single 'The Bastards', a six-minute track blending post-punk and orchestral elements.
  • +The band describes 'The Bastards' as a ballad about sovereignty, reflecting on the current political climate.
  • +Produced by Chris McCrory and mastered by Felix Davis, the single aims to capture feelings of political discontent.
  • +The band hopes 'The Bastards' can serve as a light amidst growing concerns over democracy.
  • Glasgow-based post-punk band San Jose have unveiled their latest single, 'The Bastards'.
Produced by Chris McCrory and mastered by Felix Davis, 'The Bastards' is a six-minute track that blends post-punk energy with orchestral elements.
Speaking about the single, the band say: “The Bastards is a ballad about sovereignty. It's hard to write a song about anything else in today's climate. Everyday some creeping dark cloud over democracy grows, seemingly stronger and more opaque. We've been trying to capture that cloud and distill that feeling for a while, and with The Bastards we feel we've come close.
"Being Scottish, it seems being politically discontent is part of our very being, our genealogy even. This feeling is building amongst us, and you can tangibly feel it - we hope that The Bastards can be a light that shines upon that.
