A brand new poster from The 1975 has been spotted, featuring a new title, ‘Part of the Band’

  • June 12, 2022

Sundays are not days of rest, Dear Reader. Not in the era of The 1975‘s poster watch. Anything can, and will happen – and it looks like, yet again, it has.

After news the band would be up to something on 7th July broke at the start of the month, via the medium of a fly poster spotted in London, it appears we have more information – again via some smartly placed outdoor advertising found in Bethnal Green and shared on Reddit.

The new poster features a fresh image (it appears to show Matty carrying a lot of baggage – nice visual metaphor), that same date – 7th July – and what seems to be a title, ‘Part Of The Band’.

Is that the name of a single we’re getting? What about that B F I F A L teaser we were given on Instagram, which we thought was a hint to ‘Being Funny In A Funny Language’ – a title used on an initial tracklisting for ‘Notes on a Conditional Form’ that then disappeared? Why do some people keep saying ‘Being Funny In A Foreign Language’, when that wasn’t the title at all? Are we confused? Do we even know what’s going on at all? If you need a catch-up, you can find one with our ‘what we know so far’ round-up from the start of the month here.
