The Beatles have unveiled an expanded ‘Anthology’ campaign with restored documentary series, a four-volume music collection and a 25th anniversary book

The Beatles are set to relaunch ‘Anthology’ this autumn with a comprehensive campaign spanning a restored and expanded documentary series, remastered and enlarged music collections, and a 25th anniversary edition of the official book.

The nine-part ‘The Beatles Anthology’ documentary series, now featuring a brand-new Episode Nine, will stream exclusively on Disney+ beginning 26th November. Restored and remastered, the original eight episodes chart the group’s path from Liverpool and Hamburg through Beatlemania, their US breakthrough, 1960s counterculture, their time in India, and their split.

The new instalment includes unseen behind-the-scenes footage of Paul, George and Ringo reconvening between 1994 and 1995 to work on ‘Anthology’ and reflecting on their shared life as The Beatles. The restoration has been overseen by Apple Corps’ production team in collaboration with Peter Jackson’s Wingnut Films and Park Road Post, with Giles Martin creating new audio mixes for the majority of the featured music.

On the audio side, ‘The Beatles Anthology’ music collections have been restored and expanded to four volumes, arriving as 12LP 180-gram vinyl, 8CD box sets, and digital releases on 21st November via Apple Corps Ltd./UMG.

The publishing strand is led by ‘The Beatles Anthology’ book, returning in a 25th anniversary edition on 14th October via Apple Corps Ltd. and Chronicle Books. Across 368 pages, John, Paul, George and Ringo recount the band’s history in their own words, supplemented by contributions from close collaborators including Neil Aspinall, George Martin and Derek Taylor, and illustrated with more than 1,300 photographs, documents, artwork and archival materials.
