Video games are great. Not only are they fun and that, but they’re starting to give us more and more great music from great bands.
Exhibit A, this new track from Chvrches, taken from the new game Mirror’s Edge Catalyst that’s out next month. Titled ‘Warning Call’, the original track is written from the perspective of protagonist Faith.
“We were honored to be asked to contribute to the soundtrack for Mirror’s Edge Catalyst,” Chvrches‘ Iain Cook says in a press release. “The sound of Chvrches’ music resonates with the minimalist sci-fi dystopia of the Mirror’s Edge world, and we feel that the song complements the drama, emotion and empowering themes of Faith’s story.”
Translation: Chvrches are awesome. Everything else is lovely.
