Cloud Nothings - Last Building Burning
There’s something about Cloud Nothings that always threatens to fall apart.
There’s something about Cloud Nothings that always threatens to fall apart. Even when they’re going 100mph, there’s a reckoning about them. But beneath this, there’s an understanding that what everyone really wants is the melodic payoff.
Recorded tof provide a heaviness that frontman Dylan Baldi felt was missing from music, ‘Last Building Burning’ certainly covers all these bases. From the get-go it’s a whirlwind mass of noise - full of rocketing guitars that never feel truly pleasant, but hook in regardless, while Dylan hollers over the top.
Another release for the back catalogue of Cloud Nothings that finds them pushing envelopes - finding the ceiling and trying to crash straight on through it with all the pure, unharnessed energy they can muster.
