Hykeem Jamaal Carter Jr., born October 22, 2000, is an American rapper and record producer known professionally as Baby Keem. Raised in Las Vegas, he contributed to Kendrick Lamar's 2018 album Black Panther: The Album and Beyoncé's 2019 project The Lion King: The Gift. His 2019 single 'Orange Soda' received quadruple platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Keem signed with PGLang, a joint venture with Columbia Records, to release his debut studio album, The Melodic Blue, in 2021. The album peaked at number five on the Billboard 200 and was certified platinum by the RIAA. Its track 'Family Ties' won the Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance at the 64th Annual Grammy Awards. He collaborated with Kanye West on Donda (2021) and Kendrick Lamar on Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers (2022), earning nominations for Album of the Year at the 64th and 65th Grammy Awards. His second studio album, Casino, was released on February 20, 2026, through PGLang and Columbia.
