About Billie Marten
Billie Marten, born Isabella Sophie Tweddle on 27 May 1999, is a British singer-songwriter and musician from Ripon in North Yorkshire. Her stage name was adopted to maintain privacy, as her music career began when she was a teenager. She gained early recognition at age twelve through a YouTube video of her singing that received thousands of views. Marten released her first EP in 2014 at age fifteen, followed by a second EP in 2015. She was nominated for BBC's Sound of 2016 award at the end of 2015. She has released five full-length albums: Writing of Blues and Yellows, Feeding Seahorses by Hand, Flora Fauna, Drop Cherries, and Dog Eared.
'Drop Cherries' will arrive on 7th April via Fiction Records.
