About Björk
Björk Guðmundsdóttir is an Icelandic singer, songwriter, composer, record producer, and actress. She was born on 21 November 1965 in Reykjavík. Björk began her music career at age 11 and gained international recognition as the lead singer of the band the Sugarcubes by age 21. Following the band's disbandment in 1992, she established a solo career with albums such as Debut (1993), Post (1995), and Homogenic (1997). Her music incorporates elements of electronica, pop, dance, trip hop, jazz, and avant-garde styles. Björk is known for her distinct voice, three-octave vocal range, and eccentric public persona. Her later albums include Vespertine (2001), Medúlla (2004), Volta (2007), and Biophilia (2011).
The Icelandic singer's visually stunning concert film, featuring footage from her global Cornucopia tour, will screen in 500 theaters worldwide.
