Britney Jean Spears, born December 2, 1981, is an American singer. She began her professional career in 1992 as a cast member for the musical Ruthless! and appeared in the final two seasons of The All-New Mickey Mouse Club television series. She has faced public scrutiny and struggles with mental health, leading to her placement under a conservatorship in 2008.
