About Diana Ross
Diana Ross is an American singer and actress born on March 26, 1944. She was the lead singer of the vocal group The Supremes, which became Motown's most successful act during the 1960s and one of the best-selling girl groups of all time. The Supremes achieved a total of 12 number-one singles on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and remain the best-charting female group in history. Ross left the group in 1970 to pursue a solo career, releasing her eponymous debut album. Between 1972 and 1980, she recorded four top ten albums, with the album Diana being the most successful. During a fifteen-year period, Ross recorded twelve top ten singles, including six that reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100: 'Ain't No Mountain High Enough', 'Touch Me in the Morning', 'Theme from Mahogany (Do You Know Where You're Going To)', 'Love Hangover', 'Upside Down', and 'Endless Love'. These achievements made her the female solo artist with the most number-one songs in the United States at the time.
