About Fall Out Boy
Fall Out Boy is an American rock band formed in Wilmette, Illinois, in 2001. The band consists of lead vocalist and guitarist Patrick Stump, bassist Pete Wentz, guitarist Joe Trohman, and drummer Andy Hurley. The group originated from Chicago's hardcore punk scene and was initially formed by Wentz and Trohman as a pop-punk side project, with Stump joining shortly afterward. The band experienced a series of drummer changes before Hurley became a member. Their debut album, 'Take This to Your Grave' (2003), achieved underground success and helped establish a dedicated fan base through extensive touring. Wentz served as the band's lyricist and Wentz and Stump as the primary songwriters. Their major-label breakthrough came with the 2005 album 'From Under the Cork Tree,' which produced hit singles such as 'Sugar, We're Goin Down' and 'Dance, Dance.' The album went double platinum and elevated the band to mainstream prominence, with Wentz gaining celebrity status and tabloid coverage. Fall Out Boy received a nomination for Best New Artist at the 2006 Grammy Awards. Their 2007 album, 'Infinity on High,' debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 with 260,000 first-week sales and included hit singles like 'This Ain't a Scene, It's an Arms Race' and 'Thnks fr th Mmrs.'
Slayer, Public Enemy, The Offspring and more will also appear.
