About Hole
Hole was an American alternative rock band formed in Los Angeles, California, in 1989. It was founded by singer and guitarist Courtney Love and guitarist Eric Erlandson. The band had several bassists and drummers, including Kristen Pfaff, who died in 1994, Patty Schemel, and Melissa Auf der Maur. Hole released four studio albums across two periods in the 1990s and early 2010s. Their debut album, Pretty on the Inside, was released in 1991 and produced by Kim Gordon of Sonic Youth. Their second album, Live Through This, was released in 1994 by DGC Records and reached platinum status within a year. Their third album, Celebrity Skin, was released in 1998 and sold around 2 million copies worldwide. The band disbanded in 2002, with members pursuing other projects afterward.
The track soundtracks a new Super Bowl commercial for Taco Bell.
