About Jack White
John Anthony White (born July 9, 1975) is an American musician and record producer. He was the guitarist and lead vocalist of the rock duo the White Stripes, formed in 1997 with Meg White. The band gained international recognition with their 2001 album White Blood Cells and released three more albums during the 2000s. White was associated with the indie and garage rock movements of the decade and was known for his use of analog technology and distinctive musical techniques. Prior to the White Stripes, he played in underground Detroit bands as a drummer and guitarist. After the band disbanded in 2011, White pursued a solo career and various business ventures. He founded the rock groups the Raconteurs and the Dead Weather, recorded the Bond theme 'Another Way to Die' with Alicia Keys, and collaborated with other artists. His debut solo album, Blunderbuss, was released in 2012 to positive reviews and commercial success.
