Hotel Rosewood

Mark Allan Hoppus, born on March 15, 1972, is an American musician and record producer. He is the co-lead vocalist, co-founder, and bassist for the rock band Blink-182 and the only member to appear on every album. Hoppus developed an interest in skateboarding and punk rock during junior high. He received a bass guitar from his father at age 15. In 1992, after moving to San Diego to attend California State University San Marcos, his sister introduced him to Tom DeLonge, with whom he formed Blink-182 alongside drummer Scott Raynor. The band produced several recordings and toured extensively before signing with MCA to release their second album, Dude Ranch, in 1997, which included the hit 'Dammit' written by Hoppus. After Raynor was replaced by Travis Barker, Blink-182 released Enema of the State in 1999, achieving multi-platinum success. The band released two more albums—Take Off Your Pants and Jacket in 2001 and an untitled album in 2003—before splitting in 2005 due to internal tensions. Hoppus continued collaborating with Barker in the band +44 during the late 2000s. Blink-182 reunited in 2009 and has since continued to record and tour.
