Nathy Peluso, born Natalia Peluso on 12 January 1995, is an Argentine-Spanish singer and songwriter. She was born in Argentina and raised in Alicante, Spain. Peluso developed an interest in performing arts at an early age and performed cover songs at musical bars in Torrevieja during her teenage years. After graduating from King Juan Carlos University, she moved to Barcelona to pursue a professional music career. Her initial releases, 'Esmeralda' (2017) and 'La Sandunguera' (2018), were produced independently. She gradually gained recognition in Spain and signed with Sony Music Spain. Her debut album, 'Calambre' (2020), earned her the Latin Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album in 2021. Her second studio album, 'Grasa,' was released in 2024. Peluso is known for her theatrical stage presence and her fusion of hip-hop, soul, and world music. Her popularity increased following her collaboration with Bizarrap on 'Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 36' (2020), which achieved commercial success and social media attention in Latin America. She has also collaborated with Christina Aguilera, Karol G, and C. Tangana, with the latter's duet 'Ateo' reaching the top of the Spanish charts.
