About Neck Deep
Neck Deep are a Welsh pop-punk band formed in Wrexham in 2012. The band released two EPs, Rain in July (2012) and A History of Bad Decisions (2013), before signing with Hopeless Records in August 2013. The band was founded after vocalist Ben Barlow met former lead guitarist Lloyd Roberts; they posted a song titled 'What Did You Expect?' online, which gained attention. Following this, rhythm guitarist Matt West, drummer Dani Washington/Abasi, and bassist Fil Thorpe-Evans joined the group. Their debut album, Wishful Thinking, was released in January 2014, after which the band members left their jobs or dropped out of university to pursue music full-time. Their second album, Life's Not Out to Get You, was released in August 2015. Roberts left the band shortly after its release due to allegations of sexual misconduct, which he was later cleared of; he was replaced by Sam Bowden. The group's third album, The Peace and the Panic, was released in August 2017 and debuted at number four on the US Billboard 200.
