Sylvan Esso is an American electropop duo from Durham, North Carolina, formed in 2013. The group consists of singer Amelia Meath and producer Nick Sanborn. They debuted with the single 'Hey Mami' and released their self-titled debut album on Partisan Records on May 12, 2014, which reached number 39 on the Billboard 200 chart. Their second album, 'What Now,' was released on April 28, 2017, through Loma Vista Recordings and was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Dance/Electronic Album. On August 12, 2022, Sylvan Esso released their fourth studio album, 'No Rules Sandy,' on their Psychic Hotline label, receiving positive reviews.
