About Travis Barker
Travis Landon Barker (born November 14, 1975) is an American musician, songwriter, and music producer. He is the drummer for the rock band Blink-182. Barker has collaborated with hip-hop artists and is a member of the rap rock group Transplants. He co-founded the rock band +44 and has joined other groups including Box Car Racer, Antemasque, and Goldfinger. Barker was a frequent collaborator with the late DJ AM, with whom he formed the duo TRV$DJAM. He was born in Fontana, California, and began drumming at an early age. In 1996, he played for The Aquabats before joining Blink-182 in 1998. The band achieved mainstream success with the album Enema of the State (1999). Barker has worked across various genres, producing and guest appearing in hip hop, alternative rock, pop, and country music projects. He starred in the MTV reality series Meet the Barkers. In 2008, Barker survived a plane crash, and after his recovery, he released his debut solo album, Give the Drummer Some, in 2011.
