About Tusks
Tusks is the stage name of Emily Underhill, an English singer and electronic musician based in London. She first released the Snow EP under her own name in 2012. In 2014, she adopted the name Tusks with the release of the Ink EP. In 2016, she signed with the label One Little Indian and released the False EP, which contained four songs, three of which were later included on her debut full-length album. Her debut album, Dissolve, was issued in October 2017 and was co-produced by Underhill and Brett Cox. The album drew comparisons to London Grammar, The XX, and James Blake, and received support from BBC 6 Music's Lauren Laverne, Radio 1's Annie Mac, and various music publications. In 2019, Underhill released her second album, Avalanche, which incorporated influences from artists such as My Bloody Valentine, Marika Hackman, and Wolf Alice. The album received coverage from Rolling Stone, Billboard, Complex, and Radio X, and was featured in several television series, including Netflix's '13 Reasons Why'.
