About This Track

'safe' by 2hollis is a 2025 pop track from the album 'star'. The lyrics are anxious and intimate, with a narrator insisting on secrecy while seeking reassurance, “tell me that I’m safe”. Images of intoxication and misused glamour sit alongside a plea for safety, turning flirtation into a worried interrogation. The repeated refrain drives the sense of panic, as though affection is being used to steady fear.

"safe" is a track by 2hollis, from the album star, released 3rd April 2025. The track is 2:53 long. It's filed under Pop. Full lyrics are available below. Dork has published 4 articles about 2hollis.

Lyrics

safe

I lit a flare in you
Autumn drunk, kissing all your makeup off
Said I won't, said I won't tell no one
But I said I won't (ayy)
Double my age, kissin' my face
Grab on the reins, how does it taste?
I'm so afraid, I'm so afraid (tell me that I'm safe)
Just tell me I'm safe (tell me that I'm safe)
Just tell me I'm safe (tell me that I'm safe)
Just tell me I'm safe
Just tell me I'm safe (ooh)
Come and take your mask off me
Come and take your mask off me
Come and take your mask off me
Come and take your mask off me
Come and take your mask off me
Come and take your mask off me (come on, come on)
Come and take your mask off me (come on, come on)
Come on, come on
Write me a note on the back of my credit card
Take a look at the sun and realize what we've done
Kiss up the night (come on, come on)
Make things right (come on, come on)
Just take out my face and move your life (come on, come on)
C--C-Cut that, I won't like, no (double my age, oh yeah)
Double my age, kiss on my face
Tell me I'm great (what are you so afraid of?)
I'm so afraid (I'm so afraid, uh)
I'm so afraid (tell me that I'm safe, uh)
Just tell me I'm safe
Just tell me I'm safe
Just tell me I'm-
Tell me I'm safe, yeah (safe)
Tell me that I'm safe, uh
Tell me that I'm safe, uh
Just tell me I'm safe (tell me I'm safe, uh)
(Tell me I'm safe, uh)
(Tell me that I'm safe, uh)
(Tell me that I'm safe)
(Tell me that I'm safe, uh)
(Just tell that me I'm safe)
(Tell me I'm safe, uh)
(Just tell me that I'm safe, uh)
(Tell me that I'm safe)
(Just me that I'm safe, uh)
(You never did go home, did you?)
(No, never)
