About This Track

‘Thrust’ by Ashnikko is a 2017 track from the album ‘Sass Pancakes’. The lyrics put a brash, teenage swagger to the fore, framed as a candid confession that slips into flirtation and challenge, with the singer leaning on punchy boasts and direct address. One recurring hook snaps the persona into place, “I'm just a teenage sass pants”. The verses keep the tone playful yet confrontational, as the talk shifts from manufactured charm to a harder edge of scrutiny and dismissal.

"Thrust" is a track by Ashnikko, from the album Sass Pancakes, released 7th April 2017. Full lyrics are available below. Dork has published 20 articles about Ashnikko.

Lyrics

Thrust

[Intro]

I'm just a teenage sass pants

I'm just a teenage sass pants

I'm just a teenage sass pants

Ha-ha-ha-ha

[Verse 1]

Oh, it's candid you caught me, I always make it happen

Gave him a Hollywood smile and he liked my accent

You fiendin' little boy? I know you need some

Plus-sized pudgy boys, Tweedle-dee-dum

Get to snacking and battle axin'

Out of breath and you heart-attackin'

Circle-whacking, who gets to take Rome?

None of y'all motherfuckers, pack up and go home

Panting like puppies, you love the taste

I'll be around for a while, cool the haste

Hot stuff, wants me to call him boss

Well I'm a habanero pepper, you can lick my sauce

Ooh, you can lick my sauce

[Chorus]

So, all my cool kittens put your claws in the sky

Stub out your joints like it's four twenty-five

And give me somethin' I can thrust to

Give me somethin' I can thrust to

Boys, put your drawers in the sky

Fly 'em like a flag on the Fourth of July

Give me somethin' I can thrust to

Do I done does this thing? Yeah, I must do

[Verse 2]

Ooh, I'm a saucy salad and I'd like you to toss me

Us three can doodle bop in some soft sheets

Fuckin' obscure, you can blink and miss it

Think I'll pay him a visit, my life coach is in prison

And I have a staring problem, my gazes linger

Bug-eyed glasses, thick and chubby, baby fingers

Lips lockin' like I'm glued to your mouth

Gave your girlfriend head on my studio couch

Wow, it's a scandal how can a world handle

A foul-mouth girl with a plan to dismantle

Your ideas of what ladies should do?

I don't owe you shit, I'll bid you adieu

You a salty little pretzel, I ain't aimin' to please

Post-lunch snacking, dip you in nacho cheese, ayy

[Chorus]

So, all my cool kittens put your claws in the sky

Stub out your joints like it's four twenty-five

And give me somethin' I can thrust to

Give me somethin' I can thrust to

Boys, put your drawers in the sky

Fly 'em like a flag on the Fourth of July

Give me somethin' I can thrust to

Gi-give me somethin' I can thrust to

[Outro]

Do I done does this thing? Yeah, I must do

Do I done does this thing? Yeah, I must do

Do I done does this thing? Yeah, I must do

Machete for a tongue, it's a jungle I cut through

Ashnikko shows that bolder is better at London's O2 Forum Kentish Town

Two years ago, **Ashnikko** announced a trio of shows at London’s Omeara in support of their ‘Hi, It’s Me’ EP. Over those three nights, they were set to play to just under 1,000 people before the global pandemic put a stop to those plans. Tonight, one mixtape and a handful of singles later, Ashnikko finally gets to play a headline show in her adopted hometown of London.
