Lyrics

Float Away

[Verse 1]

Truth is, I don't hate this, but I think that I have strayed

From the things I thought that I would want, it's time to make a play

And maybe I'm just tired from always falling on the knife

But there's something so enticing 'bout a simple sorta life

Oh yeah

[Chorus]

Everybody says the same damn thing

Nothing lasts forever, gotta bring me down from outer space

Houston has called the mission

Is anybody listening?

Float away to the same damn place

[Verse 2]

Feel the weight of the world as we circle around

It was yours, it was mine, now we're all slowing down

I got lost through the years, I should've told you

Things have changed, know it's strange, but I need mine too

[Chorus]

Everybody says the same damn thing

Nothing lasts forever, gotta bring me down from outer space

Houston has called the mission

Is anybody listening?

Float away to the same damn place

[Bridge]

Will I miss this?

Now, be honest with me

Did we make it further out

Than we were supposed to?

[Chorus]

Everybody says the same damn thing

Nothing lasts forever, gotta bring me down from outer space

Houston has called the mission

Is anybody listening?

Float away to the same damn place

[Chorus]

Everybody says the same damn thing

(Same damn thing)

Nothing lasts forever, gotta bring me down from outer space

(Outer space)

Houston has called the mission

Is anybody listening?

Float away to the same damn place
