About This Track

'Empty' by Bebe Rexha is a 2018 pop track from the album 'Better Mistakes'. The lyrics are a bleak self-appraisal, with the narrator treating their own inner life as a trap, slipping into breakdown as routine, and leaning on a “fake smile” while feeling worn down and overwhelmed. Overthinking becomes a loop, and the repeated sense of fatigue lands close to the brink, even as the voice insists it is too tired to keep hurting. The result is a confession that never quite lets the self-doubt go, and a performance that stays intimate with its spiral.

"Empty" is a track by Bebe Rexha, from the album Better Mistakes, released 27th August 2018. The track is 2:28 long. It's filed under Pop. Full lyrics are available below. Dork has published 2 articles about Bebe Rexha.

Lyrics

Empty

Okay

It turns out, I'm my worst enemy
Don't know how to be a friend to me
Don't think I'll ever change, yeah

A break down is my daily routine
A fake smile is my accessory
I'm tired of feelin' low
And I'm too tired to hurt

Yeah, I feel too much, almost deadly
Overthink it all, keep obsessing
Here I go again, why'd I let me
Get so empty?
I feel empty
Empty

I close my eyes and baby, then I see
All the people that used to love me
The tears I tried to cry
Are dried up in my eyes

Yeah, I feel too much, almost deadly
Overthink it all, keep obsessing
Here I go again, why'd I let me
Get so empty?
I'm so empty
I feel empty
Here I go again, why'd I let me
Empty

Yeah, I feel too much, almost deadly
Overthink it all
Here I go again, why'd I let me
Get so empty?
