Lyrics

Mushroom Cloud

[Verse 1]

There's a mushroom cloud in my rearview mirror

End of the world with you, my dear

Hanging your head out of my window

Catching ash on your tongue like it's snow

If the sky should fall and the oceans drain

Your hand in mine would make it feel okay

With the final breath that I should take

I'd spend it whispering your name

[Pre-Chorus]

Let's drive (Let's drive), let's drive further than the moon

Let's drive (Let's drive), let's drive away from our impending doom

[Chorus]

So come with me

We don't need anything

We could run away, baby

Everything's been going down in flames, left in disarray

In thе end, you're all that I'll see

To die nеxt to you would be heavenly

Come with me

We don't need anything

We could run away, baby (Baby)

[Refrain]

(We could run away, we could run away)

(We could run away, baby)

[Verse 2]

Like lovers in Pompeii, I don't think we'll escape

Let's sit back and watch the view

I know how it's endin'

If this is Armageddon, I'll be getting my arms around you

[Pre-Chorus]

Let's drive (Let's drive), let's drive further than the moon

Let's drive (Let's drive), let's drive away from our impending doom

[Chorus]

So come with me

We don't need anything

We could run away, baby

Everything's been going down in flames, left in disarray

In the end, you're all that I'll see

To die next to you would be heavenly

Come with me

We don't need anything

We could run away, baby (Baby)

[Instrumental]

[Chorus]

So come with me

We don't need anything

We could run away, baby

Everything's been going down in flames, left in disarray

In the end, you're all that I'll see

To die next to you would be heavenly (Heavenly)

Come with me

We don't need anything

We could run away, baby

[Outro]

(We could run away, we could run away)

(We could run away, baby)
