About This Track
'survive' by Clairo is a 2016 track from the EP 'brains a bus station - EP'. The lyrics look back on a ruptured past, asking to be met when no one else is around. There is a sense of separation that is treated as final, alongside an attempt to keep caring in spite of it. The narrator tells someone they are struggling to grasp the situation, and pushes for something more deliberate, wanting to know them better than they did before. One line, "There's no place you call home", frames the tone as exposed, vulnerable, and unresolved.
"survive" is a track by Clairo, from the album brains a bus station - EP, released 14th April 2016. Full lyrics are available below. Dork has published 17 articles about Clairo.
