Plagues

'Plagues' by Converge is a 2006 rock track from the album 'No Heroes'. The lyrics paint a dark, animal-haunted panorama in which teeth, claws and cold eyes preside over a wide, indiscriminate cast of victims, with a sense of awe curdling into spite, as every beast and every man is made to pay. The effect is apocalyptic and punishing, like a collective reckoning staged by something that has wings and intent.
