About This Track

‘Affirmation’ by d4vd is a 2025 track from ‘Withered Deluxe: Marcescence’. The lyrics cast a restless, self-aware attachment, with the singer positioning a person as a persistent inner voice and a private emotional wound. There is an insistence on feeling and staying put, even as that presence provokes irritation. The repeated hook lands on devotion in direct, unabashed terms, with the sentiment neatly captured in the line “I love, I love, I love you”.

"Affirmation" is a track by d4vd, from the album Withered Deluxe: Marcescence, released 16th September 2025. Full lyrics are available below. Dork has published 19 articles about d4vd.

Lyrics

Affirmation

[Intro]

Ooh, ooh-ooh-ooh

Ooh-ooh-ooh

Ah-ah

[Verse 1]

I knew you were the voice in my head

I knew you were the hole in my heart

And even though you make me upset

Mm, baby, I can't forget

[Chorus]

I love, I love, I love you

I love, I love, I love you

I love, I love, I love you

I love, I love, I love you

[Verse 2]

And I tried so hard to change

I tried so hard to change

I'd go out of my way to make sure you were okay

And I'd go all the way to keep you in my arms, safe

I'd go all the way

[Chorus]

'Cause I love, I love, I love you

I love, I love, I love you

I love, I love, I love you

I love, I love, I love you
