About This Track
'Wait' by DIIV is an alternative track from the album 'Oshin' (2012). The lyrics are steeped in longing and solitude, with the speaker presenting themselves as “innocent and late for love” while waiting for someone to arrive, feeling the weight of being alone in the city. There is a predatory, physical edge too, as the words turn to creeping intimacy and lingering possession, all wrapped in a tone of reverent, almost ritual patience.
"Wait" is a track by DIIV, from the album Oshin, released 30th January 2012. The track is 3:16 long. It's filed under Alternative. Full lyrics are available below. Dork has published 2 articles about DIIV.
