Lyrics

Teeth

I'll break my bones that carry my skin
I'll snap my fingers and curl them in
Am I shallow or is it for the best
Am I shallow or is it for the best
I'm delicate without a flaw
But that's just my disguise
And when my veil slips I'll unfold
And I can only swallow my pride
I wake when I've already woken
And when I speak I've barely spoken
I've already soured your day
And you've already lost me today
I'll be taking advantage of the ground I've never explored
My insides are mismanaged
But my outside is never ignored
And my ears don't burn at my mention
My ears only listen to me
But I can't cut you off by extension
Because I can't be alone if I want attention
I wake when I've already woken
And when I speak I've barely spoken
I've already soured your day
And you've already lost me today
I wake when I've already woken
And when I speak I've barely spoken
I've already soured your day
And you've already lost me today
I will get by, by the skin of my teeth
I will get by, by the skin of my teeth
I will get by, by the skin of my teeth
I will get by, by the skin of my teeth
I will get by, by the skin of my teeth
I will get by, by the skin of my teeth
I will get by, by the skin of my teeth
I will get by, by the skin of my teeth
I will get by, by the skin of my teeth
