About This Track

'hell yeah' by Ella Eyre is a 2025 pop track from the album 'everything, in time'. The lyrics frame a quarter-life crisis mood, with the speaker admitting to being “a fool”, making promises they can’t keep, and struggling between staying and leaving. There is a restless, cycle-like quality to the way they return to the same decisions, culminating in the sense that time is running out even as the situation repeats. The song reads like a sharpened moment of self-awareness, then straight back into impulse.

"hell yeah" is a single by Ella Eyre, from the album everything, in time, released 21st November 2025. The track is 2:53 long. It's filed under Pop. Full lyrics are available below. Dork has published 6 articles about Ella Eyre.

Lyrics

hell yeah

I'm a fool, yeah, that's me
I'm makin' promises I can't keep
Told myself, "Stay 'til three"
And if I see you, I got to leave

Ooh, but then you walk into the
Room, might put you in an Uber
To my house, in my sheets
Like a record on repeat

It's a quarter-life crisis, it's about time
It's twenty-something, good for nothing, got a new ride, and
Find a good guy, uh, why am I like this?
Head's saying no, but my heart's saying, heart's saying

Hell yeah, I got no self-control
'Cause when you're right there, I don't want to go home
I kinda like it 'cause I know that it's wrong
My head's saying no, but my heart's saying, heart's saying

Hell yeah (yeah, yeah, yeah)
Hell yeah (yeah, yeah, yeah)
Hell yeah (yeah, yeah, yeah)
My head's saying no, but my heart's saying, heart's saying

One more night, that's allowed
If I don't tell my girls, then it don't count
Heaven only knows 'bout a hell yeah
But I'm not heading home, not without you, nah

Ooh, I know you like the way I
Move, yeah, I'ma show you later
At my house, in my sheets
What's wrong with me? Ha

It's a quarter-life crisis, it's about time
It's twenty-something, good for nothing, got a new ride, and
Find a good guy, uh, why am I like this?
Head's saying no, but my heart's saying, heart's saying

Hell yeah, I got no self-control
'Cause when you're right there, I don't want to go home
I kinda like it 'cause I know that it's wrong
My head's saying no, but my heart's saying, heart's saying

Hell yeah (yeah, yeah, yeah)
Hell yeah (yeah, yeah, yeah)
Hell yeah (yeah, yeah, yeah)
My head's saying no, but my heart's saying, heart's saying

Hell yeah, you're a happy mistake
Let me remind you, I won't be taking your name
'Cause I'm a nightmare, so it's better this way
My head's saying no, but my heart's saying, heart's saying
Hell yeah, uh

Hell yeah, I got no self-control
'Cause when you're right there, I don't want to go home
I kinda like it 'cause I know that it's wrong
My head's saying no, but my heart's saying, heart's saying

Hell yeah (yeah, yeah, yeah)
Hell yeah (yeah, yeah, yeah)
Hell yeah (yeah, yeah, yeah)
My head's saying no, but my heart's saying, heart's saying (what?)
