About This Track

'reticle' by glaive is a 2020 track whose lyrics adopt a viciously confrontational stance, with a narrator presenting themselves in a half-rat, half-human frame and issuing threats. The verse pivots on a street-level sense of danger, including talk of carrying a gun and of friends who will “track your” target. It is aggressive, reactive and contemptuous, with the attitude sharpened by a dismissive exchange that sets the tone before the chorus lands.

"reticle" is a track by glaive, released 14th April 2020. Full lyrics are available below. Dork has published 5 articles about glaive.

I don't know, ask Garreth

You know what? Fuck you

glaive

[Chorus]

Half rat, half human

I've got the pack moving

Glock up on my hip if you talk, if you act stupid

Got homies that are posted on the block and will track your movement

I'm with kurtains, I'm with Wido, in the back, got a track boomin'

Half rat, half human

I've got the pack moving

Glock up on my hip if you talk, if you act stupid

Got homies that are posted on the block and will track your movement

I'm with kurtains, I'm with Wido, in the back, got a track boomin'

[Verse]

You keep talking shit, send your bro straight to the clinical

I ain't aiming neck down, lil' bro, I shoot for criticals

Planned this shit for months, percent of error is minimal

Let me guess, you foldin' under pressure, that shit typical

I'm not tryna tell you what to do, but you should let it go

'Cause I got lots of friends in lots of places that might let it blow

My whole personality might change, nothing is set in stone

But I can confirm that you look pretty through my reticle

And I'm getting kinda tired of you talking all this bullshit

Step into the function, MAC-11 with a full clip

If you keep fuckin' talking, put your ass straight on a booklet

Felt the pin between my fingers, uh-huh, and then I pulled it

(Mo-Mo-Mommworld)
