About This Track

'Perfect' by Glitterer is an alternative track from the album 'Looking Through the Shades' (2019). The lyrics are sceptical of the idea of perfection, returning to doubt and the question of why someone keeps trying, especially amid an expectation of things going wrong. A line like “I don't believe in perfect” sets the tone, with the narrator thinking about human character and their own hesitation, then pivoting to a more detached stance of watching a situation deteriorate. The overall mood is confrontational and disillusioned, as disbelief hardens into resignation.

"Perfect" is a track by Glitterer, from the album Looking Through the Shades, released 11th July 2019. The track is 2:13 long. It's filed under Alternative. Full lyrics are available below. Dork has published 4 articles about Glitterer.

Lyrics

Perfect

I don't believe in perfect
It's something that I don't flirt with
So why do I try? Why do I try?
Think about it from time to time
I started doubting people
Thought we might be inherently evil
So why do I try
When I can sit back and watch it die?
But you can't start counting loss
As a difference or a cost
So it's worth a shot
To find what we forgot
There's logic in our longing
