Lyrics

Downgraded

[Verse 1]

You love the busy days that keep me off your mind

You hate it when she says it's gonna be alright

I bet you look right through her, don't you?

Bet you see me in your mind every time

Every time

[Pre-Chorus 1]

Sorry I never called

I had better things to do

I don't wanna talk to you

About when everything was better for you

Is she still asleep

Sleeping in your room, where I used to?

Where I used to?

[Chorus]

So I heard that you downgraded

She took you off my hands

And I could be mad at that

But I got other plans

Yeah, I heard that you downgraded

'Cause I was thе best you had

And you know that, that's why you're coming back

[Verse 2]

Do you lie awakе thinking of the mess you made

Lying in the bed you made with her?

With her?

So full of regret but I forgive you

'Cause I don't really miss you

As much as you miss me

So, baby, keep calling and I'll let my phone ring

[Pre-Chorus 2]

(Just) text me and tell me off

I got better things to do

(I) I don't wanna talk to you

About when everything was better for you

Does she know my name?

Does she ease your pain like I used to?

Like I used to?

[Chorus]

So I heard that you downgraded

She took you off my hands

And I could be mad at that

But I got other plans

Yeah, I heard that you downgraded

'Cause I was the best you had

And you know that, that's why you're coming back

[Bridge]

So keep me in your past, keep me in your past

Keep me in your past where I belong

Where I belong

I can only be so sad, only be so sad

Keep me in your past where I belong

Where I belong

[Pre-Chorus 3]

Sorry I never called

But that's just the way it goes

When two people fall apart

And, after what we went through

[Chorus]

So I heard that you downgraded

She took you off my hands

And I could be mad at that

But I got other plans

Yeah, I heard that you downgraded

'Cause I was the best you had

And you know that, that's why you're coming back

[Post-Chorus]

(So I heard that you downgraded)

So keep me in your past, keep me in your past

Keep me in your past where I belong

Where I belong

(So I heard that you downgraded)

I can only be so sad, only be so sad

Keep me in your past where I belong

Where I belong

[Outro]

Sorry I never called

But that's just the way it goes

So I heard that you downgraded
