Lyrics

Steep

[Verse 1]

Give me just a second with my thoughts

And by a second I mean hours

There's me and you but there is not an us

And that's your fault

You said that's what you wanted

I don't want some complicated love

I don't need occasional flowers

The petals always only falling off

From the dry spells and then all of the showers

[Pre-Chorus]

I step away

Step away from your touch

I'm looking down

Baby, you're looking up

'Cause you

[Chorus]

Always come back, come back to me

How you gonna reach me now, baby?

I'm so up looking off, mountain peak

All my love for you still 6-foot deep

Gone away (it's gone away)

I can't hear you, babe (too far away)

Always come back, come back to me

Tryna run back but this time it's too steep

Steep

Steep

[Verse 2]

You never paid attention until we would touch

Was hands on my body or hands on your watch?

Now you can't have it, it's all that you want

It's funny seeing things now from so high above

[Pre-Chorus]

I step away

Step away from your touch

I'm looking down

Baby, you're looking up

'Cause you

[Chorus]

Always come back, come back to me (come back)

How you gonna reach me now, baby?

I'm so up looking off, mountain peak

All my love for you still 6-foot deep

Gone away (it's gone away)

I can't hear you, babe (too far away)

Always come back, come back to me (come back to me)

Tryna run back but this time it's too steep

Steep

[Bridge]

Laugh at the bar when the bar's so low

You can't even pick it up

No limbo

Lobby of the hotel

Can't get in

Trying to keep it up

Keep running, running, running

Laugh at the bar when the bar's so low

You can't even pick it up

No limbo

Lobby of the hotel

Can't get in

Trying to keep it up

Keep running, running, running

[Chorus]

Always come back, come back to me

How you gonna reach me now, baby?

I'm so up looking off, mountain peak

All my love for you still 6-foot deep

Hype List 2022: Gracey: "I feel like I'm out of the fragile phase now"

Gracey is a pop star - but then, you imagine Gracey has always been a pop star, even before she was dropping solid gold bangers. She’s just got ‘it’. Taking real-life emotions and turning them into certified bops, 2022 might well be her year.

Gracey: "It got to a point where I wasn't speaking unless I was writing a song"

Having joined pop-writing-phenomenons Xenomania at the teeny-tiny age of 16, Gracey has always been set for superstardom.
