About This Track
'Integrity' opens with a shh, then Jme pivots from the street economy of his youth to the music game itself. The track is a statement of longevity and principle, built on the claim that he was always serious about the craft, never chasing charts or YouTube metrics, just picking up the mic and spraying bars. He names specifics: school, Windows NT, Fruity Loops 3, a jacket that said Mic Controller on the back. The hook lands on a simple boast, that he still brings the room to its feet, still spits bars nobody knows. The second verse sharpens into something meaner. Jme turns on the opportunists, the ones who ignored him in the lean years and now want to be close. He refuses the idea that he has changed; they have simply arrived late. There is a hardness here, a refusal of false friendship, and an insistence that he was born to do this, that the work is continuous, that the principle matters more than the sale.
