What is girlhood to me?
Well, um, I think to me girlhood is one of the most precious things in this life
Girlhood to me means girl dinners and most importantly having your
Cheerleaders who love and support you unconditionally
To me girlhood is discovery
Watching 'Wild Child' and letting the DVD play over again and again
I feel like so much of being a woman is difficult

But then there's this refuge that we find in each other
The ultimate support, protection, safety, walking in twos
Having a community and eternal friendship and sisterhood
It's sobbing quietly when you finish a particularly heart-wrenching
And good book in the small hours of the morning
And clutching hot water bottles to abdomens when it's that time of the month
