Catastrofuk – commentary

Now, 'Catastrofuk', this first song...

It started off with a chorus that said: "Hello to the future, goodbye to the past". It was in the middle of recording an entirely different song. So, instead of finishing two songs I put 'em both together. And y'know, uhh, when you get antsy in the studio. Um, and you're waiting for your engineer to finish prepping tracks on the song I'm supposed to be recording. I get fidgety and I sit down at the broken baby grand, and I started constructing the melody line

And, then it became a guitar song. So that switched. And that's exactly what the song is about, is switching around. Nothing ever fits quite the way it's meant to. But, that's how I like it. Happy accidents. To everybody, do have a happy accident day, once a week. I need like several days a week of happy accidents
