Mood

[Verse 1: JUJ]

They all told me it was dangerous

I packed my bags and I headed west

I was Philly, now I'm Angeles

They say I won't be able to deal with the

Stress, stress, stress, stress

Headed for the iceberg

RMS Titanic to the new world

But it's not gonna get in my way

[Pre-Chorus: JUJ]

They say

"You're too young to move out on your own

You're reckless, use your head"

I say

"I hear you, I'm scared too

But I know it's time to move ahead," yeah

[Chorus: JUJ]

On the verge of a breakthrough

'Cause I got a life that needs livin'

Fear won't tell me what to do

Leaving was just the beginning

You, you

You

Don't kill my mood, mood

You

Don't kill my mood

[Verse 2: Vic Mensa]

I left home when I was 17 to chase a dollar and a dream

My brother got killed that same week I can still hear the screams

Echoed through the [?] where the violence is like Medellin

I keep a extra clip 'cause I got issues like a magazine

My life ain't been a easy ride but I believe that deep inside

The same struggles we survive give us reason to be alive

They tryna find my peace of mind 'cause tryna get a piece of mine

So much drama in recent times I just wanna leave it all behind

They say

"Don't [?]

You gon' make these people mad

Let 'em take shots like a bartender

Whole town I'ma keep a tab"

I said

"That's my life you can never stop me

When I'm dead and gone they won't forget about me

I'm lying hard then let a nigga doubt me

I'ma shine harder than Liberace"

[Pre-Chorus: Vic Mensa]

They say I'm on top of the world

I feel like it's on my shoulders

I can't let it bring me down

Gotta fight 'cause I'm a soldier

And it's never over we champions we won't lose

If it's the last thing I do I can't let 'em fuck up my mood

[Chorus: JUJ]

On the verge of a breakthrough

'Cause I got a life that needs livin'

Fear won't tell me what to do

Leaving was just the beginning

You, you

You

Don't kill my mood, mood

You

Don't kill my mood

[Bridge: JUJ]

You know that I'm sorry but I have to leave

Please, will you just let me breathe?

[Chorus: JUJ]

On the verge of a breakthrough

'Cause I got a life that needs livin'

Fear won't tell me what to do

Leaving was just the beginning

You, you

You

Don't kill my mood, mood

You

Don't kill my mood

[Outro]

Don't kill my

Mood
