About This Track

'Passionate' by Khalid is an R&B/Soul track from the album 'Sincere (Deluxe)'. Released in 2024, it plays like a tense confession and a plea for clarity, as a narrator recalls treating someone carefully and offering “honesty”, only to question whether they are being used when the thrill fades. The lyrics weigh up devotion and doubt in quick, repeated assurances, ending on a direct challenge to motives.

"Passionate" is a track by Khalid, released 6th December 2024. The track is 3:18 long. Full lyrics are available below.

Lyrics

Passionate

Yeah, yeah
Yeah, okay, okay
Yeah, yeah
Yeah
We were on somethin' back then
Treated you carefully
I gave you honesty, gave you all of me
Gave you everything, everything
Wouldn't wanna wait in the end
But you're tempting me
Are you just using me
Then when you're through with me, leave me for dead?
Can we keep it passionate?
'Cause I can't believe where our passion went
Give a little more before you choose to walk out that door
Let's get passionate
You don't gotta worry 'bout all your friends in your rear
You don't gotta worry now, make those thoughts disappear
Need you to cherish me, nothing compares to me holding you near, near
We were on somethin' back then
Now you're killing me
Look what you did to me
You get rid of me and then I'm gone
Then I'm gone, oh, I
Can we keep it passionate?
'Cause I can't believe where our passion went
Give a little more before you choose to walk out that door (before you choose to walk)
Let's get passionate (passionate)
Can we keep it passionate? (Yeah)
'Cause I can't believe where our passion went
Give a little more before you choose to walk out that door (before you choose to walk)
Oh, before you choose to walk out the door
I only want a chance to take you home
Make a place outside on the stairs
Where I sit in my own despair
Where I sit in my own despair
Can we keep it passionate?
'Cause I can't believe where our passion went
Give a little more before you choose to walk out that door (before you choose to walk out that door)
Let's get passionate (oh)
Can we keep it passionate? (Yeah)
'Cause I can't believe where our passion went
Give a little more before you choose to walk out that door (before you choose to walk out that door)
Out that door
Yeah-yeah-yeah
